Bought because I was looking for an everyday work bag/tote/purse with plenty of interior space (big enough for an iPad, 8x11 folders/documents, a water bottle and sometimes a few stuff to start with out of a diaper bag instead of taking everything with you) and plenty of external pockets (I'm the type who likes to have a pocket for every everyday item - keys, cell phone, sunglasses, work ID, etc.), one thick strap through the shoulder and one that remains upright when lowered. Giving 4 stars because it somewhat fails in that last aspect - the bag is very flexible and the weight of the straps/zippers at the top causes it to tip over unless filled with things the height of the bag. Otherwise love it and have had a handful of compliments!
