Review on 🏄 Chums Surfshorts Wallet - Sleek and Water-Resistant Minimalist Wallet with ID Window and Key Ring - Lightweight Zipper Pouch by Justin Goff

After receiving this product I found an upgraded original Chums card holder with key ring and ID window (ASIN B002S6V9PO). This surf short replacement doesn't even come close to the quality and utility of the original. I've received several of these Chums surf short wallets as replacements and none of them have the permanent (plastic?) round bird logo or any other red color as shown on several vendors' product pages. I like the original red footed booby bag. Originals are better than replacements for many reasons. The original Chums Card wallets are: 1) slightly larger and expandable: you can store a driver's license and other cards, money, lip balm, etc. 2) They are more durable: the material is thick and similar to that used for backpacks. The edges are all connected 3) Safer: The zippers stay closed and won't open by themselves. The zippers also have strong cords with pull tabs that are easy to pull out. 4) Prettier: Red-footed boobies with red paws are embroidered on durable fabric. These interchangeable surf short wallets are: 1) Slightly smaller and have a smaller window: A full driver's license wasn't visible through the window, and the wallet didn't fit as much of my stuff. 2) thin: the material is thinner, there are no ridges on the edges. I expect my driver's license will cut through the fabric after a while. 3) are not sure. Weak zippers open by themselves. Because of this I lost my change and possibly my bills. There is an additional open pocket with reflective material, but I wouldn't put anything in there because of the risk of losing it. a booby (minus the red legs) and the CHUMS logo sticking out of his belly. The patch on mine started peeling and falling apart within the first week of use. I sewed back what was left of it. The latest models only have the CHUMS logo and no bird. I've added a photo of my "new" Chums Surfshorts wallet next to my new original Chums Card wallet. You can see the zipper on the replacement unzips by itself and the upper right corner of the thin logo patch is gone. I now use this cheap replacement wallet to hold my work ID holder and desktop key.
