Block drains 3 weeks after installation

Block drains 3 weeks after installation, thin copper tubing which corrodes after 3 weeks, block coil gets water and shorts then drains see attached picture. replaced, so from the Amazon site 4 times the same problem. I called the dealer, they said the devices were poorly constructed and didn't buy copper devices as they weren't durable. I used my old copper free unit that I've used for 4 years and they work much better, I need my money. The second product sold is defective and not properly…

Ordered from a third party, not as advertised.

I ordered this item from a third party. As you can see, on the left is what the product should look like and on the right is what was sent to me. Like a plumber. When I look up a part number and order a specific part number, I'm looking for an exact replacement product direct from the manufacturer, or a used one from another supplier who has additional inventory. Not like a replacement. First, this product didn't even fit in the hole and the ends touched. That means this block would have blown…

Great product at a reasonable price.

We have an Emaxx water heater, model number EEM24018. When one of the heating elements failed I had trouble finding a replacement. I removed the part number from an old heating element, connected to the internet and tried to match it. I couldn't find a direct cross reference but thought part number HE 90240 might fit. So I found this heating element and thought for the price I would give it a try. This turns out to be a direct replacement, and we started taking hot showers again. The new…

Beware of possible loss of the black rubber disc!

I installed this new heating element and then turned on the water supply to the water heater to check for leaks. Then water started pouring out of the gap between the nut at the top of the element and the copper tube it was screwed into. After several minutes of trial and error, including making sure the element was tight, I took out the new element and compared it to the old element. I immediately noticed that the new heating element that Revain supplied me was missing the black rubber washer…

perfect replacement for my ecosmart 18. but

After my ecosmart 18 water heater stopped heating efficiently, the instructions indicate that the heating elements may be defective or contaminated with limescale deposits. Following the troubleshooting instructions for the elements I removed them and tested with the VOM to make sure the resistance across each of them was between 5 and 10 ohms and they were very clean too. So the next troubleshooting option was the thermistors, which turned out to be a problem after disconnecting them from the…

Exactly what we needed!

One of the three heating elements in our Demand Water Heater has failed. Noticing a sharp drop in temperature, we also noticed that several faucets were clogged (i.e. almost no water came out). Apparently this is no coincidence. We determined we had a defective element (measured in the megohm range) and ordered a new one. It was last Thursday. Revane said it would be delivered the following Monday so I figured we'd have a few more days of cold showers (which I dreaded every day). The seller…

Saved us a fortune, easy DIY

Our water heater has been running for 6 years now with no problems. Last week my wife heard a pop when I was taking a shower and the hot water stopped. The water pressure dropped, some kind of sediment flowed out of the taps without a filter. Being unfamiliar with water heater maintenance, I had no idea what was wrong; I contacted a few plumbers to see how much it might cost us. The plumbers I spoke to refused to do repairs on the electric water heater. The manufacturer also doesn't have…

Firstly if you have an Ecosmart instantaneous water heater this is a replacement if one of your heating elements has burned out. This is used on several models, but some of them also use a different heating element, so check that first. as I was told by Ecosmart tech support) - you just need a new o-ring! So we have an Ecosmart 27 instantaneous water heater and everything worked fine. Then I noticed that water was running out of the box. Water plus 240 volts is not good! It has three heating…
