Review on ⚙️ Efficient Replacement Part for Ecosmart HE 90240 ECO 27 Water Heater by Jason Ortiz

After my ecosmart 18 water heater stopped heating efficiently, the instructions indicate that the heating elements may be defective or contaminated with limescale deposits. Following the troubleshooting instructions for the elements I removed them and tested with the VOM to make sure the resistance across each of them was between 5 and 10 ohms and they were very clean too. So the next troubleshooting option was the thermistors, which turned out to be a problem after disconnecting them from the PCB, as the water got very hot when disconnected. I recommend checking the cells first and then the thermistors as these thermistors have been failing fairly regularly since I replaced both of mine a year ago so I assumed the problem was with the cells. Unfortunately the thermistors for my old unit are NLA but Ecosmart Corporation took care of my scenario and kindly replaced my 10 year old heater just for the shipping cost! They also included a lifetime warranty while a licensed electrician performed the replacement. I highly recommend EcoSmart water heaters.
