. I bought these to have on hand in case of an emergency - I needed them to pour 5 gallons of stout yesterday. They were awful, couldn't get them to close and seal the cap edges over the bottle neck - they almost ruined my cap. At first I tried oiling the cap - it helped with some, but then the cap immediately broke the bottle cap and I brushed them aside and went with some random caps I had. The metal cap is very stiff, difficult to flex over the neck of the bottle, they were incompatible sizes - some fitted well, most didn't. These are the bottles I've been using for years - the caps are the same, these caps are useless. If I spend 5 hours on a recipe and then the fasteners fail, I'll never do it again. I will continue to buy my caps from the Brew Store. Really disappointed - not a good deal at all. 2 WEEKS LATER - opened two bottles, all the gas came out, no fizz - lost all the beer I put those caps on. Other closures still seal the bottles well. Not sure if it was a bad batch of caps but I would never buy them again.
