Petsafe ScoopFree is a great product. The only way to make it better is to add that cover. The lid not only helps with clutter and odors from the litter box. It also improves the appearance of the litter box. This litter box already does so much to fight odors, but at the end of the day, it can only do so much. With the addition of this lid, the mailbox is virtually odor free. I bought this item as we are raising a third cat who is now also using the box. The smell has really become more noticeable, mainly because 3 cats used the box more than 2.
