Great little ottoman for EASY use

Requested this for my son's room. He's 3.5 instead of 4 and has already crushed his beanbag to death. Take the opportunity to get more storage AND a decent chair/stool to sit on while changing. Assembly was easy. The fabric looks nice, but doesn't stretch as tautly as it does with a stiffer frame due to the puckering. There is loose fabric that was not sewn correctly (see photo). A little problem with quality control. The lid is hard and well lined. It has indentations/grooves that you can slide into at the top of the sides. This has both advantages and disadvantages: when placed correctly, it pulls the sides into place and makes it stronger; If placed incorrectly, the lid is crooked and usually unstable. Raising the ottoman can be a problem. There are no legs, so there's no gap to put your fingers through. When you tilt it or lift it by holding onto the sides, it doesn't become rigid and feels like it's collapsing inward. While the ottoman has decent capacity and weight, I would shed it with lighter toys/stuffed animals to make it easier to move around safely. Speaking of the weight rating, my 30+ pound son jumps and stands on it with ease. For adults, it holds my 150lbs (seated) and seems rock solid._UPDATE_The lid has started to crack and I can't sit on it safely anymore. The lid is clearly made of surprisingly thin chipboard and is cracked/cracked. Still holds my son's weight, but I wouldn't recommend any adult of any height or weight sitting on it regularly (sit and read to son at night, that's all). Disappointing. Overall, this is a good value, affordable ottoman that folds and packs away for storage or portability. But in use it has most of the qualities of a hard stool, albeit not for adults to sit on. 2 stars off for the updated editions mentioned above, but our son still loves it!
