This is the third bed I have bought. I gave one to my sister. He is 5 years old and developing splendidly. Cat puke and other pleasant things wash off easily if you wash them as recommended. Difficult to get the foam border out of bed to wash. . It was difficult to return the foam trim to make the bed look right. I ended up having to rip open the seams to get the foam paneling back. Luckily I sew by hand. The first bed I ended up using with fiberfill for the sides. I couldn't form it properly and ruined the foam lining itself. But the bed itself and the heating element made a great bed for another cat. I will not take this new one apart to wash. Too heavy to replicate perfectly. Handheld vacuum with good suction and spot cleaning works great.
