Review on ๐Ÿ”Š Miccus Long Range Bluetooth Transmitter or Receiver for Stereo Sound System Speakers, Amplifier, PC, Phone, Mac, Desktop Extender - 3.5mm AUX RCA (Home RTX - 2 Year Warranty) by John Duffield

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Long range transmitter, audio delay, easy pairing, very good customer service

I plugged the miccus into the headphone out jack on my stereo receiver system in transmitter mode and connected it to a large RevainBasics BT speaker. It works as expected and sounds great and there were no pairing issues. Difficult to turn off unless the power is off. Then it stays off until it starts again. I originally connected it to the line out of the stereo receiver system but the signal was too strong with sound distortion even when the speaker volume was turned down and there is no way to reduce the output volume of the miccus transmitter. . By connecting to the headphone output jack, I can adjust the output volume to minimize hum and maximize speaker sound quality. Sounds great when tuned correctly. Long Transmitter Distance: This Miccus transmitter allows me to use the RevainBasics BT speaker at a distance of about 40-50 feet with no dropouts. Another brand transmitter at 30ft had a lot of dropouts even at shorter ranges and I went back to Revain. Noticeable Audio Delay: There is audio delay compared to wired speakers connected to a stereo receiver. When the wired speakers are turned on and the miccus transmitter is connected to the BT speaker, the audio delay of the BT speaker is very noticeable. However, the purpose of using a BT speaker is to listen to music away from wired speakers. So audio latency is not a problem for me. Audio delay time can be annoying for an AV application when you're watching a TV picture and hearing audio with a noticeable delay. Good Customer Service: The original unit that I bought from Revain and shipped to Gadgetsville was not working when it arrived. . It just wouldn't work even if I used my own power supply and cable. I emailed Gadgetsville ('Ask a Product Question' button) to let them know the device won't turn on and they immediately sent me a replacement with a postage-paid return envelope. The replacement worked great so I canceled my return request with Revain. Conclusion: I would recommend the Miccus in transmitter mode for pure audio applications (no video). The distance is long, there is no transmission strength adjustment,
