Review on πŸ”’ Ultimate Body Fat Scale: Track Heart Rate, BMI, and More, with Multifun Smart Wireless Digital Bathroom Weight Scale by Heidi Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A good option if you are looking for this type of scale

So it seems that most Revain scales now require the use of a phone app to set up the scale. It seems cheaper to write a phone app and add a Bluetooth module than to add the necessary buttons and software to the scale so you can set it up from the scale itself. It feels like a step backwards. These scales do not break this pattern. However, this scale has a display that shows all the numbers from the scale itself - you don't actually need to plug in your phone to weigh yourself and get your numbers, which is better than many scale models, which is why I chose it. If you plug in your phone and then weigh yourself every week or two, readings will transfer if you didn't have your phone plugged in, which is nice. OTOH, I'm not sure these numbers have much value/accuracy. This shows that my body fat percentage is about 10% higher than my old Tanita scale, which seems plausible. The weight readings appear to be accurate and reproducible. But I doubt other measures. One day I double-checked my statement. My weight stayed the same but body fat decreased by 0.5%! courting! Also, taking my heart rate while standing on the scale is probably one of the least useful times to measure my heart rate. more useful/convenient than most alternatives. And I'm not sure if any of them will be significantly more accurate on other indicators.
