If you have cats, you know that they love to jump on things, especially things you don't want them to jump on. We bought this case to protect our treasure. I wanted it to be very thick to protect the table from cat claws and waterproof (because no matter how many times you say "don't put your glass in there", someone always seems to forget. Plus we have another have 12 year old in the house who tends to tip things over) boy am I glad we bought this. We've had it for 4 years now and it works great. It is easy to clean and will not collect much dust on the table. It fits perfectly. Easy to put on and take off, does not wrinkle. As expected, the cats jumped on the table from time to time. There are a few claw holes on the lid but none on the table. The lid didn't break either. Also, as expected, a few drinks were spilled (despite my best efforts) and this protected the table from any liquid. However, we caught it right away and wiped the drink away - so I don't know if it will stop soaking over time. If they made clothes out of this my husband and 12 year old would have the same outfit!
