I'm 5ft 3cm, size 32DD and small are perfect if you like a fabric that feels comfortable against your skin. It's not too tight. Sometimes medium works well for me and medium would work just as well for someone my size, but I don't like fabric that rubs because I have sensitive skin and a medium might not hug my skin but rub it instead. The fabric is nice and soft. I wish the shirts were in lighter colors so there is a lot of light and pastel colors. I prefer bright dark intense colors, that would be a great alternative. I gave some of these away and wear them almost every day. If there was a second pack with royal blue, bright magenta, deep kelly green, etc., I would definitely order more. I wash and dry when it's not sunny and then dry on the balcony. They wash and wear well. The fabric is thin, suitable for yoga and physical work, or simply for daily leisure and work. I don't wear a bra with it as it's not necessary. I usually wear yoga pants and one of those tank tops. I can put a fly shirt on him if the temperature drops a bit.
