Measuring tips to determine the correct cap size.

Day 1, so I can only speak about the first impression. 5 stars might be generous as I have a few criticisms but it looks like a quality case with a lifetime warranty so I don't like it. My main complaint is that there should be more product descriptions on how to measure your camper for the best fit. The technical length of my Rockwood 2109S is 21 feet 7 inches from the hitch to the rear bumper. The length of the RV body without the front frame/hitch is approximately 19.5 feet. So I thought about using a smaller cap that would fit 20ft. But the smaller cap actually costs about $60 more, mind you. I went for a 20-22 foot cover and it clearly has excess material about a foot or so on both the front and back of the RV. The straps do a good job of tightening the lid so I don't think it matters much, but I would have preferred a tighter fit. My advice: Buy a cover size based on the body length of your RV excluding the front frame and hitch (unless you want it covered too, which I did). Another assembly tip: the yellow label is good for identifying the front of the lid, but it's not as easy to tell which side is up and which is down. Get it wrong and you'll be accessing the flash from the wrong side (I learned the hard way). Like others I've used cardboard and a combination of duct tape and masking tape on sharp corners and drainpipes - duct tape will mark your paint so only use frog tape to tape cardboard. No material strength issues, no breaks (they provide extra material if patches are needed in the future). The straps are strong too, no issues here either. All in all - a great buy, especially if it really does last a lifetime (just bought this camper new) - read a lot of reviews on other covers too, many saying they only last a few years. I think we'll look at that.
