Seriously, I hate umbrellas and wanted this to be my last purchase. I even got into a fight with my wife trying to spend $130 on a "premium" umbrella. She won and I am grateful to her. The bottom line is that there is no perfect umbrella, so you can buy this one. It is very good. If you think I'm wrong, think again. I've literally spent hours reading articles, blogs and over a hundred reviews. I've carefully studied raincoats, weather forecasts, gusts of wind, daveks, sunny mountains, and silly umbrellas to name a few. I'm basically an umbrella expert and believe me I don't say that with pride. Basically, the design itself is flawed. Think about it: dozens of tiny moving parts crammed into a confined space, connected only by thin fabric, and used only in inclement weather. it's literally a recipe for failure. You can't go off-road in a toy truck, you can't chase fish with a squirt gun, and unfortunately, an umbrella can't be the durable, collapsible rain cover we've all been hoping for. be.Sorry to cloud your hopes and dreams but buying this umbrella is the best decision you can make. Believe me.
