Review on Hysure Electric Dehumidifier Portable Moisture by Brian Nicholas

I was looking for a quiet dehumidifier for a small area and bought this because the description said the noise level was <33dB. But the manual says "42dB" and I confirm that with a portable sound level meter, it has a noise level of 42-45dB. That's not fair. Technically, 10 dB difference equals 10 times louder (this is how dB works). I already have another with the same noise level. This is normal during the day. But another dehumidifier has a "night mode" with a reduced noise level. It only has one mode. I haven't changed my mind about returning this product immediately, but I want you to know that the actual noise level is at least 42db.
