Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

The hyped multitasking modes, when they allow as many as 3 applications to open at the same time, have not been useful to me yet. And dragging between them was not appreciated, therefore, although I am sure that this will only work in three applications and a half. I don’t understand people who are dissatisfied with the lack of charging in the kit. For example, if they bought a not the cheapest ultrabook in the last 2-3 years, they already definitely have USB-C Power Delivery charging, even more powerful than necessary. We are already almost living in that beautiful far away, where all the memory devices are universal - all the more so, charging is nowhere more standard, and the power is needed relatively low (described in shortcomings). The OS security patch does not come in any way - the September one has already been released, but it tells me that the latest version is the July one, the factory one. Either they haven’t approved it in the 2022 yet, or the device is buggy. Although there are no other doubts about its originality and serviceability, I attended to this. I took the green color and doubted for a long time whether they had made a mistake at the factory. After all, the box says - green, the box is green, and the device is black. You can sometimes see dark greenish overflows in it with certain combinations of lighting, angle and mood. Although generally good. It's a pity that in a year, most likely, they will do the same, but the battery is larger, the charge is normal, the camera is at the level - but you are not, you gave a kidney a year ago, you can't do it anymore.

Pros
  • As you might expect, the device is ideal for reading text on websites, in documents, and so on. (I do not mean that it competes with the E-Ink reader). The fact that the external screen is so narrow (less than 1080p) turned out to be correct. I want to grab the phone with my hand when I pull it out, for example, and the length of the fingers would simply not be enough if the thickness is x2, and the width is the same. And with such a narrow - enough. And it looks fresh, but it is still not necessary to use it - there is a normal one. The underscreen camera is good. When I looked at the display cases, I agreed with the reviewers - the camera is perfectly visible, not masked in any way, why bother at all. When using it, I made sure that such a camera is needed there - you often try to find it with your eyes in order to find out which side you are holding the device with - and you find its attempts from the third, in a couple of seconds. For side vision, it merges perfectly with the screen. Although she clearly even has a refresh rate below 60 Hz, not to mention resolution and color reproduction. In any case, this camera is a step forward towards practicality (I did not shoot with it). The screen crease is visible, tactile, and enjoyable. I scroll lists specially on it with my finger. Much nicer than the next Gorilla Glass 666. The softness of the screen is also here - because the screen is large, square and soft, the stylus is much more pleasant to use than it was on Note 8 and 10 glass. The stylus itself has become the size of a pencil, has already forgiven that it does not retract. I carry it in my pocket, I'm afraid to break it, I'm satisfied. Autonomy turned out to be better than my most pessimistic expectations. It seems that the main battery consumer in flagships is not the screen, even if it is so large and at 120 Hz. Discharge basically the processor and the modem. Therefore, with a 4.4 battery, the device is much more tenacious than the Note 10 at 3.5 - even though the screen is tiny, and only 60 Hz. By the way, there autonomy was zero, and now after it Fold 3 seems more or less. Although there were fears that it would only get worse - the difference in 900 mAh will be eaten by the screen, snap 888, and ask for more.
Cons
  • The two main disadvantages are the camera and charging. If you look at the specs, then the Galaxy Note 8 had cameras no worse than 4 years ago - the main aperture is larger, the width is not needed. And obviously this is a big step back compared to the two-year-old Galaxy Note 10. Okay, not necessarily the cameras from the ultra, but they could have at least made an x3 telephoto, not x2. Aperture 1 / 1.5, not 1.8. Or at least 108 megapixels, if 1.8. Would it really be at least 20% more expensive? Charging in Galaxy has been throwing me into a stupor for more than a year. While various xiaomi make chargers above 100 watts and charge in 20-30 minutes (read, not seen), samsung offers no more than 25 watts even in flagships. Thank you at least USB Power Delivery is suitable. And back in 2022 they released Galaxy Note 10+ with 45W Power Delivery. and forgot about it. In S20, S21, Note 20, here - everywhere again 25. The USB Power Delivery 65 W laptop adapter charges one and a half to two hours. Wireless charging has not been developed for 5 years either, and the proprietary Convertible Charger charges the device in more than 3 hours at the end of 2022, and nothing seems to be supported faster. There's a theoretical maximum of 10 or 15 watts. Another source of annoyance is the adaptation of the shell to the form factor. A note on the AoD inside takes up 30% of the half of the screen - it does not occupy both halves. It takes half a minute to turn the device with all the pretzels so that AoD hits exactly the screen where you want, and not upside down. The lock screen refuses to fall into landscape orientation. Although even AoD can - though not automatically, but with a fixed setting. On the internal screen, some parts of the native shell also work only in portrait mode. It looks ridiculous if you remember that the first such device was sold more than 2 years ago, and not "a month has not passed, give them time, they will fix everything." And it turns out the 2022 Galaxy can't play WMA (CBR, VBR, Lossless) and ALAC! Only FLAC, AAC, MP3. I installed VLC, but it hiccups and generally the bottom of ergonomics compared to Samsung Music.
