I bought two identical lamps. The first still works fine. The lighting distance is normal, around 80-90 feet, which is what I need. I wanted a wider coverage area at the same distance. A light gives too narrow a spread, so I bought an extra lamp. The top photo of the car in the driveway is a ring light camera using its own built in IR source. Added to the bottom photo is one of these IR lights, set up under the same eve about 5 feet to the left of the camera's field of view. The second light stopped working the first day. I am a certified commercial electrician. I disassembled the device and found that the connector's contact had darkened due to the heat. It was the negative output of the LED. I cleaned the plug and slightly bent the negative pole in the socket to put more pressure on the contact point and that's fixed for now. illuminate the displayed distance. The threads on both fixture bodies are too small for the supplied mounting hubs and will fall out or break off. I had to add flesh threads by wrapping them with white electrical tape (to match the color).
