I am using this cable to connect a laptop that only has USB-C ports to an older dealer OBD-II code/scanner. Not only does it work great for this purpose, the software seems to run faster with this cable than the old USB-C to USB-A adapter I was using (before I lost it). This nearly 7ft cable is way better than the old 1m cable I used before! Now I can mount my laptop on the hood of the car and route the cable under the steering wheel where I used to get caught in the driver's seating area. The cable ends appear high-quality and make a very durable impression. Highly recommended if you need a longer cable for any reason, and very reliable. Good for DVD drives, old cameras, other old tech, whatever!
