So I found it almost impossible to stretch them before inflating - they are very thick material. At the same time, "balloons" are less than 10 inches after inflation, and they are difficult to fill with air - maybe the size of a small dessert plate? Not at all to scale with the photo or description - very misleading. Wrapping lights doesn't really let the colors be random, they create a pattern more or less because you can wrap them in only one direction and they will stay. Although the lights are really nice and I haven't experienced any deflation after struggling to tie them in half. I would be happy with this purchase if the balloons were closer to the size shown and described and if they also came with some sort of pump to inflate with air - I used a wide straw.
