This is a revolutionary material. Forget Nite Ize ties, which are often too short or too long. I use it to hold tools, tent poles, coiled rope, etc. together. Also perfect for securing avionics cables - all with just one hand. If you need to move/add/remove a wire, just unwrap it. Zippers are very difficult to attach with one hand and after you cut off the excess tie you are left with a razor sharp stump that bleeds - don't ask me how I know! I was concerned that the same would happen with the cut ends of this material, but that's not the case. The rubber sleeve expands just enough to hide the end of the wire.
