Doesn't fit face mask pole

I bought a roll of these in 2018 and they fit perfectly in the face mask pole. However, recently (May 2020) I bought two more rolls, one white and one black, and they are more flexible now. The wire is thinner and does not adequately hold the shape of the face mask's nose.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Can't remember

Does the job at a low price

Don't expect it to be exactly like the Nite Ize ties because it isn't. It's a bit flimsy, but if you don't have a grenade launcher or M4 attached to your molle gear while climbing the mountains around Kandahar, this inexpensive alternative is good enough to clip your paraphernalia to a lunch box or flashlight. on the keychain etc. -:)

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

good thing the best in paracord

good but not what i thought. it's good, but when I try something with it, it looks too bulky. I like these better https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SHBN21S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I first saw them here at Home Depot and knew right away when I first saw them I knew I had to get more, replace the zip ties. So I recommended buying them here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SHBN21S /ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 come in all sizes

This is very overpriced for what it is.

The wire in the middle of the rubber seems a bit flimsy. I cut it easily with standard scissors and it came off easily with no additional fastening of the ends required. I used this to attach a flashlight to some crutches. I used the existing holes in the crutch to tuck the ends of the wire inside so they don't come loose and press against the user. However, the rubber coating does not slip; twisted so tightly that the wire holds the flashlight without light leaking out.

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Fantastic product - should be

As others have said - this is different from the Nite Ize version. It's smooth and the wire is softer. They probably share 80% of the applications. Because the Nite Ize is thicker, stronger, and ribbed, it's not as easy to thread through small holes - it works great and fits through screw holes, and it wobbles because you can cut it to the length you want. Much cheaper than Night Ise. I have several Nite Ize and I use them when strength matters, otherwise I use these for many, many different…

Doesn't really keep well packaged.

Well I really wanted to like it because I find the price of the Gear Tie ridiculous. The problem, however, is that the metal wire in the middle of this material is so thin that it doesn't really stay bent safely in any application. It stays very loose and flexible rather than flexing harshly and securely around what you are trying to secure. I bought it to wrap loose cords around small kitchen appliances for example. But you have to use a very long piece of this material to do the job that a…

Revolutionary product

This is a revolutionary material. Forget Nite Ize ties, which are often too short or too long. I use it to hold tools, tent poles, coiled rope, etc. together. Also perfect for securing avionics cables - all with just one hand. If you need to move/add/remove a wire, just unwrap it. Zippers are very difficult to attach with one hand and after you cut off the excess tie you are left with a razor sharp stump that bleeds - don't ask me how I know! I was concerned that the same would happen with the…

Use this to neatly tie all the cables in my laptop bag

When I'm away on business, I have a laptop bag full of cables. Most of these I never use, but when I do use them it's almost always a black cord and almost always a black desk in an office or hotel. I cut about 3-4 inches off this cord and wrapped it around the cord and voila, the bright orange color on the black tabletop means I won't lose another cord to poor eyesight. I was glad I came across this wrap cord because I can cut it to the right length if needed. And it's by far the most…

Pros

  • Almost everything is fine
