Large assortment. I tried different settings on our 5 pound toy Chihuahua. The beep caught her attention but after 3 or 4 times she ignored it. The vibration really works for the first few hours. But once she got used to the vibration, at level 1, a static charge caught her attention. The first time, on level 1, the static spark startled her and she jumped up with a startled, high-pitched screech, looking confused, and stopped. do what she shouldn't have done. After that, no squeaks, no flinching, no jumping back, no confusion or stopping, which she shouldn't be doing. We take it off her when she sleeps in her kennel. The next morning when we had to use it for the first time it was like she forgot. She thoughtlessly did exactly what we teach her not to do. She let out a small scream as she felt the shock and stopped what she shouldn't have done. Later that morning, she defiantly continued to do what she shouldn't have done, even after being beaten. We just give the button a quick click and don't hold the button down. However, when she was defiant after being hit, we held the button down until she stopped. She didn't scream, she just ran out of the room. Since then she has shown no disobedience. She has pushed the boundaries trying to understand the dismissal, but now she has come to the point of avoiding bad behavior and associating it with the dismissal. We have always had dogs and have never had to use a training collar. We adopted this little dog a month ago, he is untrained and has not collapsed. If our other dogs hadn't made them part of the pack we might have given up and brought them back. With praise she learned new things, but it was impossible to get rid of bad habits. As cute as she is, she does have some nasty habits and thankfully with this training collar, we're finally seeing real progress in just the first few days. An unexpected plus of this collar is the green LED. This little black dog has no tail. If we let her into the fenced backyard at night, she disappears into the shade. The green light lets us see where she is. I've seen critical reviews of this collar; However, if you follow the collar fitting instructions carefully, carefully place the collar around your dog's neck so that it makes good contact but not too tight, and experiment with the settings (start with the beeps and increase Adjusting the vibration level and then increasing the static discharge if necessary) is a safe and humane way to train the most stubborn of dogs. I see comments where people talk about their dogs screaming in pain and doing somersaults with minimal static. I tried it myself - the low setting is similar to the low setting on the tens. It's amazing - it doesn't hurt. Think about how you would react if someone gave you a new necklace and then you received an unexpected low-voltage oscillating discharge. You can jump out of your seat and scream. I think that working on leveling up until we found something that constantly caught her attention was effective for her learning and didn't harm her.
