Review on πŸ‘• Safer Brand 07270 Clothes Moth Alert Trap: Protect Your Wardrobe from Moth Infestations by Wendy Ducy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It takes time to fill up. (updated review)

As of October 2015, I am correcting my review below. They work. But they are very slow compared to another trap I bought. Over time they caught many moths. Now they are full. I don't know if they are attracted to the traps or if they just stumbled across them as the traps I accidentally bought for storage moths (at the hardware store) are also full. So they work. But not immediately, even if they are placed in one place with their concentration. Maybe I could try a combination of ProPest, which lured and caught them immediately, and Safer Brand, which took almost four weeks before I saw it filling up in the infested area. At this point, he attracted more than the other brand. So I've changed my rating from one star to four stars for long-term use. However, I was freezing and vacuuming groceries all the time. Unfortunately, I'm in a heavily wooded area where there have been problems, so you open the door and a few people slip in and the cycle starts all over again. That's why it was so important to have traps. Both have significantly reduced the number of flying pests. ------ Old rating below Em no. Absolutely not. I bought three different traps from Revain because I wasn't sure which ones would work. I knew I had clothes moths because they would eat through carpets and clothes and they didn't like the traps in the pantry. I can tell you that the moment you open the package to drop the "bait" into the hole, the moths will swoop down on you. But it won't come in a box. Concerned that I was in a bad position, I put it where I saw them flying and nothing. Misplaced a few days later and caught two moths. And then I put it in my office so I could watch it work and the moths would fly at me but would avoid the box like the plague. In this bag were two traps, and neither caught more than a moth or two. In contrast, I also brought ProPest traps and both filled within a few days. And they didn't need "bait". You simply peel off the backing paper and all three sides are covered. You may have better luck, but it was a waste of my money. Maybe safer traps would work better in my closet indoors. I'll let you know. I have nothing to lose.
