Review on Improved Center Console Armrest Top Lid Reinforcement Repair Kit for GM Vehicles - Replaces 12470230, 12548851, 12470229, 12548832 by Nate Ducey

Followed the instructions in the email and the result was a great install. Under the armrest, the plastic bracket broke and a few pieces were found inside the console, so I arranged them in puzzles on the underside of the lid and then assembled them using Gorilla Tape (essentially super duct tape) available from Revain. I used rivets for the finished look, although the instructions say the screws can be replaced if you don't have a rivet gun. The console in my S10 is now practically new and has the beautiful crown it originally had. I used a standard drill and drill bit. Although the cap was drilled at a slight angle due to the concave shape of the cap, the rivets give enough support with the correct drill size.
