Easy to repair and install. I needed a few minutes. Just make sure you have the right tools for the job. It's easier than replacing the entire console.

fixed a common issue on older S10/Sonoma trucks. Good price, could have made my own but this one fits perfectly, thick and durable. Before riveting I cut and installed some hard padding to make the armrest nice and comfortable.

It was an easy install. I used some low quality foam from another project and it worked great. I also didn't use rivets, I used screws on one side that I pre-drilled holes for, and nuts and bolts left over from the grill project. Very satisfied as long as it looks good and most importantly my elbow rests on the padding.

Mine arrived today and I painted it black before fitting. If you don't care about the color, you can skip all the steps to change the look. Otherwise it's a raw piece of metal, cut and bent, that fits the underside of the armrest cover and is very easy to install. If you like everything and don't want to paint or add fabric, all you have to do is press firmly, drill holes, insert rivets and you're done. All I can say is that it works, quite thick metal covering the broken plastic where all the foam stuff is coming from. I painted mine with VHT chassis satin finish prior to installation, I believe 4 holes were drilled, rivets installed and secured. Now all I have to do is suck up the whole foamy mess.

If your armrest is sagging or breaking like mine, this is an ingenious invention to solve that problem. Attach the plate, drill 4 holes, insert rivets, done. Every time I lay my hand on the rest of my S10 I wonder why that metal plate wasn't OEM. A bit pricey but worth it.

Followed the instructions in the email and the result was a great install. Under the armrest, the plastic bracket broke and a few pieces were found inside the console, so I arranged them in puzzles on the underside of the lid and then assembled them using Gorilla Tape (essentially super duct tape) available from Revain. I used rivets for the finished look, although the instructions say the screws can be replaced if you don't have a rivet gun. The console in my S10 is now practically new and has
