Purchased for a Late 2016 MacBook Pro (which only has USB-C ports) for use on my desk with multiple monitors and a wired network connection. So far my experience has been pretty good. The dock was recognized immediately and offered networking and audio options. Video ports and card readers only show up when something is plugged into them. I'm glad this product works well as an early USB-C dock. Problems I've found may be early bugs and will hopefully be fixed with updates - audio isn't always recognized. Sometimes it doesn't show up as an audio output option in the sound settings. - Only HDMI worked when I tried to output both HDMI and VGA. Since I have multiple monitors, I need to use a second adapter for other monitors. - When powered by the MacBook's power adapter, the network and video signal remain functional after disconnecting from the Mac. This keeps the network port alive and my monitor doesn't go to sleep. - Found that when plugged in or unplugged when the Mac is off, it doesn't always wake up properly, so I make sure the Mac is awake by opening the lid before plugging and unplugging the dock. A few issues but overall it does what I want it to.
