This product is intended to protect the product to which it is connected. COMPLETE FAILURE. After receiving the "Surge Protector” I connected a flat screen TV to the device. There was a power surge during a recent storm and the TV has now stopped working. The cable box connected to the device also died. This product just doesn't do what it's advertised to do. Protect everything connected to it from possible overvoltage. Look elsewhere for what really works. Save yourself this experience. Of course, AMAZON did NOTHING to replace my lost TV.
