This rack is fine. It’s the best way to describe it. My husband and I are only in our current apartment temporarily and then we are moving to our home. We wound up needing a shoe rack because of the way the storage spaces and closets were laid out and this works for what we need it for. I will definitely buy a better one in the future, but this is good for function. It is sturdy in a sense that it’s not flimsy. The worst is putting it together. Once you get going it’s pretty simple but have patience in making sure you separate all the parts properly - the connectors are the most important. These also aren’t separate units. You can either have two columns or three, but you can’t have two columns in one place and put a third column somewhere else.
