First off, there are no "CANBUS LEDs" or any other marketing nonsense suggesting otherwise. You have power and land, that's all. If you use them and they don't work, it's probably because your car's light circuit has detected a lighter load than before and/or the LED isn't as resilient as an incandescent bulb and so stress floating somewhere is causing problems. LEDs work on a different principle than incandescent bulbs, and many solid-state lighting circuits in vehicles (that don't have factory LEDs) were not designed with this in mind and therefore may not work properly without some modification. don't understand me wrong, they're quite bright and use quite a bit of power, similar to the incandescent bulb I replaced with them, but they probably won't work in other situations. I would only recommend them for indoor lighting. I doubt they work well for other applications, although I haven't tried them. They get hot after a while and I haven't tested them in a long time but I think incandescent bulbs get hotter. is that they have a current regulator and (I assume) a couple of diodes, so it doesn't matter how you wire them.
