Good for what it is.

I don't have enough space for it on my HTPC and it worked. I bought it thinking I might have to cut off the back, which would be super easy. I ended up installing it in a hole in the case intended for the factory front panel audio and USB ports. I had to modify the case a bit and make new holes with small screws on the sides to make it work. The bottom line is that it works. The light isn't a problem for me as there is a valve that shuts this whole device off most of the time, but if it bothers you enough you can just cut the wires and take them out completely. It was hard to find a low-profile MicoSD reader, and it didn't look terrible from the front. it meets the requirements. Also, they should only make do with microSD, standard SD, and then the rest of the USB ports. Most other reader slots will probably never be used.
