This bin has two openings. front and top. The cats can only enter the box through the opening at the front, you have to exit from above. There are many holes at the top of the litter box. The bottom tray is designed to slide out from the bottom, so you don't have to open the top to clean. The floor pan is deep enough for litter. I love this design.
