Camco Portable Toilet Recommendation

So I was a little confused by the numbers given in several reviews as of June 2017. 5.3 gallons) and (2 sizes) models 41545 (2.6 or 5.3 gallons). They are currently listed on the Revain website as STANDARD (old product) (model 41541) and (newer product) PREMIUM (not "Deluxe") (41545). In terms of brands or features, some brands use the same design as the STANDARD Camco. with different levels of quality in production. Some portable toilets use bellows, some use a plunger, and some use a battery-powered pump. When using cheap electric motors (especially in recent years) there are more errors and the bellows can wear out at the edges. Several reviews mention a weight of 5.3 gallons when full; However, be aware that if you buy the 2.6 gallon, you'll be squatting on the toilet because it's only about 12.5 inches. The 5.3 gallon is about 16.5 inches tall (so it looks more like a regular toilet). I have a 5.3 and just remember to empty it more often. Of course, if you're buying for your child and you don't mind squatting or fitting the toilet into a smaller storage space, then go for the 2.6 gallon. Brief summary of comments on the use and cleaning of portable toilets. If you do it for #! or #2 and use toilet paper, it will be harder to empty. Try as in Mexico (where the installation is not very reliable) and put the TC in the garbage or in the garbage next to the toilet. If you want to reduce odors, pour about 2.5cm of water into the lower reservoir (black water) before first use, and then add a gel pack or toilet solution. ) reservoir (not the gel pouch as it can clog it) for a fresher bowl smell and clean. In about 3 days you will need a new gel pack or deodorant in the black water tank. If you're doing #2 and using TP, consider putting some cross-shaped pieces on the bottom of the toilet to keep things clean. Close the lid before rinsing. The lower the TP in the toilet, the easier it is to flush later. Consider RV TP as it breaks faster. Do not put wet wipes or feminine items in the toilet. Periodically use olive oil or something similar to seal the flush (no WD40 as it can damage the plastic seal). The main differences are that the STANDARD has (supposedly tricky) latches on the sides, a filling hole on the back, a square shape, a flush front and an S. INGLE nozzle with rinse aid. The Camco 41541 Portable Toilet - 5.3 Gallon Premium has a spring-loaded latch on the back (which you must pull to unlock and then tilt forward to disconnect), a SWIVEL SPOUT (like Thetford), a rounded front, a flush Side and THREE nozzles for rinsing. Camco Travel Toilet 41545 5.3 Gallon Our tent has two vestibules. We keep it behind. It was great if you don't want to deal with a cloud of mosquitoes in a public restroom or if my wife doesn't want to walk 1/4 mile in the middle of the night.
