Problems with the second pair bought.

I wrote a 5 star review for them in 2014 when I bought my first pair which I loved then and now. I sew in two rooms and I always had to get my sewing scissors, so I bought a second one so I have one in each room. I bought a second pair in October 2016 and they are terrible. They are dull, difficult to manipulate, and constantly stick. They will not cut through fabrics thicker than thin cotton. For example, when I try to use them, I open them to make a cut and block them before I can even make a cut. They also look scratched and kinda dull like they've been used (or maybe gotten returned from someone?). My old pair looks newer than this new pair. Not sure if I just got a bad pair or what as I have quite a few other Red Dot scissors and love them all except for this latest fire starter scissors. I hope the quality of Red Dot hasn't deteriorated. I have 3 Fiskars scissors and they are all so dull that they are very difficult to use. Sharpening costs more than a new pair, so I decided to try a different brand to see if they stay sharp longer. I can't say for sure if they will or not as I've only been with them for a couple of weeks. but I can say that they are much easier to use. Fiskars are very heavy and my arthritic hand has trouble using them. These scissors are very light which makes them very easy to use. The cut is clean and so far I love them! Only time will tell if they stay sharp longer than Fiskars.
