Microtransactions are ruining career mode. They removed basic features like the easy difficulty setting to entice their customers to spend more. Almost every aspect of the career mode has been tweaked for the worse in some way to try and trick you into giving them more money. Everyone knows why they added those microtransactions. This, of course, brings in more money for 2K. However, he is greedy to the max. What these people are doing is as legally evil as it can be for a video game company. I sincerely hope that this will blow their face enough that they will lose a significant amount of money at games and change their behavior over the next few years. Unfortunately, such predatory schemes (targeting the little ones (which I don't have access to) and those with impulsive control issues have been shown to make amazing amounts of money from small numbers of people. So even if a large percentage of people (rightly) stop buying their games, their executives can decide that this obviously morally disingenuous monetization scheme will remain in place. I think we should give it a try, and I won't give 2K a dime for any of their video games unless they change that behavior. I hope enough people will join me to make a difference.
