I have a closed motorcycle trailer that I use all the time. I recently tragically overturned a motorcycle in a trailer after installing a new restraint system. I was so confident in the new system that several times I wasn't able to check the bike while riding (which I always had to do in the past). So when I got to where I was going, I opened the back of the trailer and to my horror the bike was on its side. Watch the bikes out of my truck. I expected to find only expensive systems. maybe $500 or more. I was amazed to find this system at Revain for less than $150! I thought it probably won't work, but for the price I decided to give it a try. The monitor is light and cheap, but its lightness gives it the ability to stay on the suction cup on the windshield. The knobs and screws for attaching the mount are cheap and leave a lot to be desired, but given the price of the device I have to agree. The camera appears to be of good quality and has a more secure mounting system that needs to be screwed down. Just got back from a 3 hour trip and tried it and am very satisfied. There is no greater peace of mind than seeing my bike sit straight throughout the ride and even seeing what happens to it when I hit small bumps and the like. This is probably the best investment I've made in protecting my bikes since I bought a luggage trailer. The system is fairly easy to install. You need a little electrical know-how. at least how to connect and secure the wiring. You need to connect the camera to the trailer, then the monitor and camera communicate through antennas. Otherwise it is just a matter of installing the camera and setting up the monitor with the 12V charger in the vehicle. The system has night vision, which is the default mode when the trailer door is closed (when there is insufficient light). ), but it also has the usual color camera view, turning on and off when there's no light. My only real issue with this system is that since I have a skylight in my trailer, the image kept flickering between normal and night vision as I drove through the first. Actually, that's not a problem. just a little annoying. In both views, the bike can still be seen clearly. Please note that the black and white photo in this review is a night vision view with the bike brought to a standstill. The color view shows the trailer door open and no bike inside. I think I could install a cheap LED light that lights up with this pendant just to keep the camera from switching between night and normal view. This is my obsessive-compulsive disorder. I highly recommend this very inexpensive system if you have a setup like mine. If I had known how cheap it was, I would have done it many years ago.
