I thought I measured the thickness of my closet doors but they turned out to be a little thicker than I thought. Even if they matched, the door wouldn't close tightly. I was hoping to hang them on the inside of a closet door in an RV for extra hanging inside, but that didn't work. I found a place for them when you get into my camper, the rear table seats are to the right of the door, they fit nicely in the back of the bench and we put keys, leashes, sunglasses etc in there. There weren't that many. They also go into another area under the sink where spices go or something I could hang towels on. In any case, the idea is cool, the application is not very. (as I have a feeling if they fit in closet doors they wouldn't close tight enough for me).
