I'm going to be a bit harsh here. Sellers on Revain should be more specific in their descriptions - this is not a pass-through device. It charges my MacBook but only in one direction. I have a USB-C monitor that charges my MacBook 12 PLUS and sends a video signal directly to the monitor. This device does not transmit a video signal to my monitor. It's mostly useless (for me). I'd give it one star for false advertising, but it's beautifully machined from CNC aluminum and matches my space gray MacBook perfectly. In doing so, they win. And the USB 3.0 ports worked great and fast. ****Revised Review**** I'm still concerned about the false hype here but I'm giving them another 1 star for getting it to work but now as is intended. I plugged this device into an available USB port on my monitor and now I can use it. But it's hidden in the back - it works, but it doesn't connect directly to my MacBook. If you're looking for a device that will share video, don't buy it. But if you're looking for a USB-C to USB 3.0 hub that you can still use to charge your MacBook, this is great.
