Review on 🧼 Papoutsanis Pure Greek Olive Oil Soap Bars, Pack of 4 - 8.8 oz (250g) by Jennifer Romero

I make vegetable oil soap at home but never 100% olive oil soap as it is there is considered difficult to install correctly . I can't believe the price of this soap - an 8 ounce, more or less, bar of L'Occitane is $10 (C$12 since I live here temporarily). Mondo is an amazing value. Based on soap makers experience, these bars are hard which means they last a long time. They are fragrance free which is a plus for me as I don't usually add fragrance to my own soaps. It has an odor, not unpleasant, and after using it I smell clean, I smell like soap. My son and dad both have issues with contact dermatitis when using some types of soap so this is the perfect soap for sensitive skin including I would say babies although my son is already an adult and I don't have a child on hand to test his . My husband has complained that the bars in the soap dish get slimy when left in water (duh) and it also leaves his skin slimy. In layman's terms, my skin feels hydrated and yes, a little greasy (olive oil - again) after use, but in this very dry, overheated Canadian winter, moisture is a huge plus. And don't leave the soap in the water, dump it in the bowl, or get a bowl that's dripping. I use a soap-soaped washcloth rather than a bare strip, so size doesn't matter to me. I think it's a great idea for those who are too tall to cut it in half or in thirds. You can transfer some green onto a washcloth, but I prefer a thinner and cheaper washcloth to the oversized and expensive any day, and the green usually washes out with a wash. I got my daughter a candy bar and will order it direct to her US address if she likes it. I think if we are not informed that we are going home this summer I will have them sent to my parents so I can bring them back. Shipping from Greece was slow but it arrived. In the meantime I had to burn through more expensive soap. And my husband will use whatever I find in the big whale box.
