NYX Control Freak Clear Eyebrow Gel - Ultimate Brow Styling Solution Review

I bought this because I ran out of boy brows and didn't want to pay $16 for a refill, I'm SO glad I didn't. I will use that from now on. It holds the brows in place and isn't heavy (provided you apply it correctly) and have I seen some comments about flaking? No peeling, if it peels, you are not using this product properly. One stroke over the eyebrows is enough, done. For such a cheap product I'm very impressed, I don't normally buy cheap cosmetics but this blew me away and now I'm wondering…

I love this brow gel, I use eyeliner (also from Revain) and then apply clear gel on top. It really holds the hairs in place, almost like brow polish. I will buy this again!

I really love this stuff. I don't have much makeup and that's part of it! I actually use it even if I don't tint my brows at all. This stuff can be thin enough that I don't feel it, but thick enough to keep my hair where I want it until I pull it out. I have no excess wax or residue, it stays on until I remove it and has no odor or tint. I take my brow shape very seriously as it seems to be what I get most praise for in the world. I'm 65 and my eyebrows are getting sparse. Aside from the problem of finding an acceptable silver gray brow color, my brows have gotten pretty wild. I was hoping this product would keep them in place. And so it was. It's colorless, so there weren't any problems. The product works. That's all I hope. Good choice.

Perfectly shapes brows. However, you must be careful not to touch the eyebrows. Because if you scratch them with them, they start to peel off.

I have bought this item 2-3 times. First, it has a good grip and a good quality brush. However, you can't keep it for long because with age (which happens much faster than, say, most mascaras) it will flake off when applied. Looks like you have dandruff on your eyebrows. I personally don't want to replace it once it goes bad, so I don't like it anymore.

Just received today, opened it up asap lol. I have never used brown gel and will try. I applied it and after a few seconds it was dry and it doesn't feel super hard or flaky. When I touch them and play with them, they lose their shape, but they don't come off.

Someone told me this was a great imitation of Glossier's Boy Brow, but it definitely isn't. This thing is like water. Might work if you have very fine eyebrow hairs, but anything coarser than that and I don't see it holding up. Also, my brow area became stiff and dry. You get quite a bit of product but it comes in a mascara sized tube with a full length coil so it's quite difficult to be exact and not just apply it to your entire brown.
