Over a hundred 30 year old adhesive remnants needed to be removed. Damage to the underlying wood surface, if at all possible, was to be avoided. The primary goal, however, was to leave no trace of the adhesive blocks.Multiple chemicals are tried. Search engines were used to identify the "top 5" chemical removers. Four of the five were purchased. All of them were used in accordance with the provided directions. None of the chemical removers worked.This simple device worked. The photos show a before and after of a small section of our wooden wall. Success.The wall was not damaged by the device. Effort must be applied with the device to the surface. I thought we might scratch the unvarnished bare wooden wall. My thought was wrong. The wall was left without scratches or splinters.Satisfaction was felt in the accomplishment of a task that required effort. This feeling is personal. Appreciation of an accomplishment, however, is somewhat universal.
