I bought this as a gift and I am very sorry. While it looks good, it has some design flaws. The handle should stay up if you don't want to burn your hand by grabbing it while it's down due to the heat of the oven. You also can't put a lot of water in it as it will slosh out of the spout which is a big problem. After all, the water boils before it whistles.
