FINALLY a speaker mic that works and performs very well for its money. I've bought and reconfigured countless speaker mics from countless manufacturers to find a good, reliable product and Commountain products are so far the ONLY brand I've found that delivers consistently high quality sound in both receive and transmit. See, these, like many other less expensive speaker mics, aren't going to work, last, or last as long as an $80+ mark, and you'll end up with a bad mic from time to time after ordering. and the return of most speaker mics from over 6 different manufacturers including one made by the same company as the radios I use, Commountain's speaker mics have outperformed them all. And if, on the rare occasion, a bad one does slip, they stand by their product and will happily supply a new replacement. Today I use more than 15 of these microphones and none of them have failed. Out of the 15 I bought, only one didn't play clearly when broadcast, and the company quickly replaced it with another that worked great. Another nice thing is that these mics produce the loudest receive tone of any, which comes in very handy when used in high-noise areas. We've never missed a call due to volume issues, and we've never had a problem understanding every word, delivered with exceptionally "crystal clear" microphone sound. I would highly recommend and if I need more I would not hesitate to buy these speaker mics again. One final note, I mentioned this earlier in this review and will say it again, these are budget speaker mics, not the $80+ type. No, they won't necessarily withstand the same level of abuse or last as long as the more expensive speaker mics, but they do a great job for the money and I highly recommend them. Assess the type of speaker microphone use and abuse in your situation and order the appropriate (cheaper or more expensive) type.
