Atypical use in exterior accessories

Split the chain in half, connect each end with a stainless steel turnbuckle to use the damper chain on my boat trailer. One hook on the bow eye and one on the safety loop on the underside of my heavy duty winch. If my winch strap somehow snaps, the bow of my 5,000 pound boat is going nowhere. Works perfectly!
