For a small radio station with batteries this unit has an excellent powerful sound. The digital tuner picks up stations well and makes it easy to select a station by pressing a frequency. After placing the order, I found that AM and Bluetooth options are included in the $5 more model, which would be a plus. But overall it's excellent value for money. Right out of the box I was able to listen to MP3s randomly for 2 hours. So far I haven't been able to find a clock option, but that's only ok for listening to music.
