Review on BFGoodrich g-Force Winter 2 185/65 R15 92T by Adam Joks ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The quality was generally satisfied, there were minor shortcomings.

When I bought it, I expected that it would be close to the Michelin Alpine 5 in terms of characteristics. Unfortunately, no. There is noise from it, it is especially audible on a wet road at a speed of 80-90 km / h, a slight hum with a hiss. In the main part of the operation in the conditions of our European winter, it is quite good, but we must constantly remember that when leaving for an area with ice, this rubber does not hold the car at all. Starting on ice or on packed snow will also be a problem, especially uphill. When driving on snow porridge, there are also no special delights, if the porridge layer is more than 3 cm, then you don’t feel very confident behind the wheel. It is a pity that Alpine 5 is not available in 18". I regret that I bought it. I am surprised by the wild amount of rave reviews, and the rating of "5" - tires for a four, no more. I do not recommend.

Pros
  • Quite soft, rulitsya well. Good on dry and wet pavement, in puddles. Tolerant on snow porridge. Pretty economical.
Cons
  • On ice - none, just no grip. There is noise, more precisely, a resonant hum at 80-90 km / h.
