UV lamps (black lamps) were already very popular in the 70s. A lot of people had black light posters. When the black lights are on, the fluorescent colors on the posters stand out. Black light posters use a black background that really makes the fluorescent colors stand out. There are tons of great black light posters out there. These UV lamps also work well with small plant growth. For larger plants or more plants you need brighter light. There are certain bugs and insects that glow brightly in the black light. Scorpios are good because they glow brightly under a black light. There are a few other things that UV lighting is good for.
