Words cannot describe how happy we are with this blanket. We had bought a Ming blanket in Japan over 30 years ago that was worn out and looking everywhere for replacements. Most were too easy. We wanted enough heaviness to feel cold nights. Our bedding is black and gray so I chose an owl to complement the colors. Also, it reminded me of a great horned owl that sometimes likes to yell loudly from the big tree in our backyard. This quilt has a sharper image - darker and more detailed - on one side and a more muted pattern on the other. It's thick, well made and so soft with just enough weight to keep us snug. Shades of gray and white, as well as pastel colors, also look very beautiful. We keep it folded at the foot of the bed so it can unfold when we need it. Finally found the perfect winter blanket!
