Review on Puppet Enterprise by Sam Simone

The GUI is very user friendly for both technicals or nontechnical people alike which makes configuring easy from either side - whether they are used only by techies (which I prefer) OR novices who want some basic guidance through configuration settings up front without having too many "gotchas" and more importantly that these get well documented so one doesnt have questions like this come about later! Having said that there could be certain features added/configured even further such was when we had few issues initially but since then those got resolved quickly & surely enoughtly by pepole at pepople level itself!! There can definitely always ways improvement if someone wants improvements here and now rather than just complaining :). Monitoring our environment using puppet has been much easier due to automation involved and also helped us reduce down time caused by manual intervention required otherwise. I like that we can do so much from one solution - deployment management/automation is great! The UI could be more intuitive for less tech savvy people (it took me some time to figure out where things were). We have been able to deploy new servers quickly because there are no manual steps involved once our puppet master server has synced up properly via rsync or other methods. It also makes managing multiple environments easier than having different tools used by each team member.
