My TV in my RV was mounted on a retractable bracket but I always didn't want to twist it when traveling. I saw and bought it with good reviews. It's a solid and heavy piece, but the locking mechanism barely moves when it's closed, and a movement out of the way frees the TV for independent travel. There doesn't seem to be a way to customize it, so I'm very disappointed. UPDATE: I disassembled the locking mechanism and found the problem: the spring sucks. I went to my local hardware store and spent 40 cents on a heavier spring and now it works as it should. Stays in place even on the roughest roads!
