Review on Connect+ by Jay Hill

This part is built to the usual high quality standards of the Motorcraft line. It doesn't look like the "Rep" photo in her online description. I would have ordered this part a long time ago but was put off by the wrong picture as I didn't want what was shown in the ad. The promotional image shows a 3-bolt hole, not a 2-bolt hole as it actually is. This is an exact replacement for my 2003 Ford Ranger 3.0 liter V6 petrol engine code U. Of course there are many other models with 3.0 liter V6 so you will need to check fitment for part number RH166. I had to go to another online parts store to see if it would fit and then nervously place my order as the picture obviously didn't match. I am amazed that a seller would advertise a product on Revain with this type of marketing as people need to see accurate photos showing their purchases of the product. In no way am I downplaying this part as it is absolutely perfect, just making it clear to Ford enthusiasts who have to put up with such misrepresentations when ordering Motorcraft parts from Revain. I'll try to post a photo of the actual part soon. One thing I would add about the Motorcraft version compared to other brands is that the Motorcraft is designed with a more pronounced oblong hole where the thermostat sits which fits snugly into the shape of the thermostat thus preventing it it rotates in the housing. Another brand I compared made the hole larger for the thermostat to rotate. So I recommend using a genuine Motorcraft part and not one of the cheaper imitations. Hope this helps someone else as they certainly made it difficult for me to purchase this part.
